Today, American female gymnast, Gabby Douglas won the gold medal in the all-around competition with an outstanding 62.232! She took the lead from the very beginning and never looked back.
Yesterday, Danell Leyva (an immigrant from Cuba) came from behind to win the bronze medal in the all-around competition!
Thus far, aside from the American men failing to medal in the team competition, the 2012 London Olympics have been a success for the American gymnasts.
