"A special session of the Nevada City City Council next Monday will feature a roundtable discussion with 6 visiting Russian delegates. Mayor Robert Bergman says he's not sure why the delegation selected Nevada City to visit rather than some larger city, but he says the meeting will be broken down in to three sessions, and he's looking forward to the exchange.
“'Session is described as a relationship between city government and businesses, small business development and tourism. Session two is a relationship between county, state and federal government revenue and budgeting issues and the third is planning and land use issues in city government.'
The special council meeting will be from 1:30 to 4:40 Monday afternoon at Nevada City City Hall and will be open to the public. More information on the Russian group is available on the website www.openworld.gov.
I am going to try to attend and discuss with these visitors their experiences in the United States and what things that they have learned that they can take back to Russia! Sounds like fun!
