It Is Almost Morning in America Again

After the elections last neither I nor my wife could sleep.  We were so excited about the future of our country.  Finally after six years, another American experiment in ultra-liberalism has been resoundingly defeated.  I do not have time to post links this morning, but clearly an unequivocally the liberal agenda was taken out to the woodshed nationwide.

Republicans picked up 12 seats in the House bringing the total to a post WWII era record. In the Senate Republicans picked up seven seats for sure and possibly nine. Republicans won governors' races in Illinois, Maryland, and Michigan...you read that right...I said Illinois! It was a giant win for Republicans.

Congressman McClintock was ecstatic last night. He beat his opponent by over 20 points and nearly broke the 50% mark in Truckee for the first time. McClintock is doing better each cycle in Truckee in no small part due to my lovely wife. She is in Truckee constantly on behalf of the congressman and was so excited that her boss received 47% of the vote there. Interesting fact, one in four democrats voted for Congressman McClintock. Personally, I am very proud of my wife...great job.

My friend, Catharine Baker won her assembly race in the East Bay.  Democrats failed to maintain their supermajority in liberal California which appears to be now moving back towards the center ever so slightly.

It was a great day...and the financial markets agree.  This morning in Reuters, "Republican gains push dollar to seven-year high versus yen."

Now, the Republicans need to articulate an agenda and move legislation in order to help the middle class and balance a budget!
