Lincoln Day Dinner - Butte County

Maggie with Lars Larson
On Friday night, we went to the Lincoln Day Dinner for Butte County in Oroville at the Feather Falls Casino. Before the dinner we met a ton of people from Butte County. Cheri Bunker, councilwoman from Oroville, and Linda Dahlmeier, the mayor of Oroville, were exceptionally nice.

I would like to offer a hardy congratulations to Larry Wahl who knocked off an entrenched Democrat from the Board of Supervisors who had served there for 24 years. As a result of Wahl's victory and much like Nevada County, Butte County now has four Republican supervisors and one Democrat - hardly purple.
Lars Larson was the guest speaker and offered a bright picture of the future - smaller government.

Thank you to Doug LaMalfa and Dan Logue for fighting the good fight in California. First, Wisconsin and Ohio will go...but we will just have to save the best (California) for last!
