Election Day Update

The Nevada County Republican Party has been very active this season in monitoring the elections. In addition to observers watching the testing on the voting machines prior to election day, the local party has a poll watcher at every consolidated precinct today.

Below is the list of problems that were reported thus far:

Poll watchers from CP 4/5 reported the voting machine (or scanners as the report was not clear which) had not been zeroed out until after the election started. Reportedly, it was fixed immediately.

Poll watchers from the following consolidated precincts reported that voting machines (or scanners as the report was not clear which) were not working.
CP 3 (last reported that ballots would be counted in elections office just as happened in the primaries)
CP 12 (machine was being worked on)
CP 34 (status unknown)
CP 47 (machine was working by 8:10am)
CP 49 (machine was working by 8:25am)

The poll watcher from CP 56 reported that the wrong machine was delivered with no seal.

If you have any questions, call the Nevada County Republican HQ at 530-273-5107.
