Our earnest referee for democracy, Jeff Pelline, is at it again, shocked-just-shocked at Congressman Tom McClintock’s “skipping another candidates forum in his district” sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
But as I pointed out yesterday, the League has moved so far to the left by endorsing every major policy initiative of the Obama administration – Obamacare, amnesty for illegals, cap and trade and opposition to extending all of the Bush tax cuts – that they can no longer be considered a neutral political forum.
Funny that Jeff isn’t the least bit disturbed that Clint Curtis and Ben Emery were absent from a Tea Party forum in El Dorado Hills on Tuesday that drew some 200 people.
